Jane unloaded the kiln this morning while I walked. It was cool, and having not had many opportunities to walk in the last 6 weeks I took advantage of the 66 degree weather to get some exercise. I have never so looked forward to autumn as I have this summer. Meanwhile, Jane unloaded every single pot, and there were a lot, while I took care of other stuff. When I passed by the table on which most of the kiln load was placed, this one jumped out at me. This piece, somehow, someway, serendipitously reflects the ubiquitous TV ads for zombie, vampire and otherwise otherworldly creature activity among us. Is it the influence of the "lypse?" Who knows.
Here are a couple of images from my space in Seagrove Creations, the first shop (consignment) you will see when you take exit #61 off of Interstate 73-74. If you come to Seagrove and don't find me open, you can find my pots here and in Seagrove Pottery at the intersection of Hwy 705 and Alt. 220. There you will also find the only stoplight in town :-)
This image is from a customer who has been buying my pots for many years. She and her 2 sisters make an annual trip to Seagrove and never leave empty handed. The lamp base is one I made some time ago that I never put on the shelves. My friend took it home and had it fitted up for her bedside table. I think it occupies it's space well.
Lots of new stuff at Tom Gray Pottery!!! New glaze pattern too. Come and see us!!!
